The one thing that was pretty disappointing about being on the YOUR GOLF TRAVEL Pro-Am was that Lee Westwood was nowhere to be seen!! Given the adverts I was fully expecting him to have our Range Balls ready, clean our white troos and have the half time Jack D & Coke delivered to the 10th Tee!..... But low and behold he was too busy swanning about in Sun City (definitely not Squelchville) Lee, like Sergio and many others associated with that fantastic Ryder Cup win in September, was also turning back the clock to rediscover some form and bank career win number 24 at the Nedbank! Rightly so, the result and performance got Lee a little emotional as it was his first win since April 2014! That month was quite significant because in a quite amazing coincidence Matt Kuchar and Lee Westwood shared an almost impossible feat. On that weekend in April 2014 they both won their last Tournament prior to this weekend past! And now, following Matt Kuchars weekend win at the Mayakoba Championship, they both ended a 4 year drought on that exact same weekend again! Brilliant! Quite apt that on Remembrance Weekend it was a couple of Veterans that grabbed the headlines!
