Not your normal skill set required for going shopping, but at Tesco's last Black Friday it seemed that every little helped!!
I didn't realise that 'the must have' Christmas gift from Apple this year is a Black eye pad!! Probably a good chance that next year they will call it Black & Blue Friday!
So now that the whole nation has punched, scratched, screamed, grappled, wrestled and plundered their way through their entire Christmas shopping list, it is now the turn for Small Business Saturday to have its day in the sun! Oh, the irony! We'll let the big conglomerates hoover up the majority of the business first and then small businesses can pick up the scraps......if there is any to be had!
Whilst we are on the subject of the rich taking advantage of the less rich, I see the Loan Ranger has finally been caught up with! Craig Whyte must be getting close to being the dumbest man on the planet! Not only did the near albino ginger decide that the best place to go incognito, where he'd blend in like a local, was Mexico!! But he also thought that the best way to disguise himself was to change his appearance so he looked like Richard Branson, possibly one of the most recognisable people on the planet!! I bet Rangers fans were wishing Craigy boy had a fraction of Mr Branson's business acumen!
Speaking of Virgin, as the days pass towards my time to leave the Club I've obviously been doing a lot of tidying and organising. This has seen me going through lots of admin, files and paperwork. That has provided some very enjoyable reminiscing over my time at Eastwood.
I came across some interesting photos that I thought I'd share with you.

I mentioned earlier that this Saturday is Small Business Saturday! But it also coincides with the start of my CLOSING DOWN SALE!
Now, I need to stress that much of my stock is current and can quite easily be transferred to my next shop which has to fall under a new business name but virtually everything will have a reduced price on it in the meantime.
There will be substantial CLOSING DOWN SALE SAVINGS on all product categories with even bigger DISCOUNTS in my CASH CLEARANCE promotion. This Sale will begin on Saturday 6th December. So drop in store to see what Christmas Bargains you can pick up.
If you have an amount of Shop Credit this will give all you a great opportunity to use that Credit up. No Account Credit can be transferred to the new/next incumbent at Eastwood!
You have until Sunday 4th January to use this Credit up.
The same applies for anyone with outstanding Lessons/Vouchers that were purchased and are valid in 2014. These need to be used or redeemed before the above date.
Last Saturday was a good day for Eastwood Golf Club as they acquired a new couple for their Family Fours Competition!
Having both been Members since they were young whipper snappers in the Junior Section, and known each other the same amount of time David Mair and Laura Paterson got married to one another on Saturday at Culross Abbey in Fife. Laura's family have a long history with the Club with her parents Stuart & Beth have been longstanding Members, while her 2 sisters, Aunty and cousins also used to be at Eastwood. I guess now that David & Laura have got hitched we should expected a few Mair Patersons along sometime!
